BILINGUAL PLAINTIFF”S EMPLOYMENT LAW ATTORNEY – IMMEDIATE HIRE

This EMPLOYMENT LAW ATTORNEY Position Features: •Ability to lead/manage growing practice •Great Pay to $150K ActOne Legal Staffing is currently working on an amazing opportunity for a seasoned plaintiff”s labor and employment attorney What is most important for this position is someone who has actually managed an employment law department, someone who knows how to properly identify and screen employment cases, and someone who speaks Spanish. The firm is immediately seeking to hire a star who can lead the team and create effective strategies Ideal person must speak Spanish and can run a department profitably, with an eye always towards the bottom line. The Employment Law Department Manager is responsible for managing department attorneys and staff, overseeing department staffing including hiring and termination, implementing and overseeing department protocols and initiatives, taking an active role in intake/screening and retention of new clients, overseeing case management and referrals, overseeing department statistics and providing same to administration, working closely with various departments within the firm (particularly Intake, Workers? Compensation, Personal Injury, Marketing, Accounting, and Administration) and ensuring the overall success of the department and realization of department goals. The primary duties include, but are not limited to: •Working closely with the Intake Department to ensure proper screening and maximum client acquisition, as well as playing an active role in case screening and client retention through all prospect channels; •Developing and implementing protocols to ensure exceptional legal representation and the overall success of the department; •Overseeing referrals (incoming and outgoing) and acting as liaison between the department and referral partners; •Monitoring the performance of attorneys and staff and providing consult on substantive work product; •Managing staffing duties, including conducting performance reviews, handling grievances, hiring, termination, etc.; •Monitoring the department calendar and case deadlines, including ensuring timely action in all cases; •Overseeing attorney and staff development through training and meetings; •Conducting department and staff meetings and oversight to ensure compliance with existing protocols and to gather input regarding improvement of existing protocols; •Regularly communicating Employment Department status and statistics to firm management; •Acting as employment department liaison with various departments in the firm, particularly Intake, Workers? Compensation, Personal Injury, Administration, Accounting, and Marketing; •Remaining current with developments in the law and industry practices; •Assisting Firm Management on creating workplace policies and procedures that are in compliance with federal, state, and local employment agencies and laws and help answer questions, as needed; and •Other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications: •Juris Doctorate degree and current good standing with CA State bar is required or experience in a similar role with a law firm; •Minimum five (5) years of experience in plaintiff”s employment law required; •Previous managerial experience required; •Understanding of Workers?
