Benefits Analyst

Job:Benefits AnalystJob Summary:The Benefits Analyst will assist with the day-to-day administration of Barnard’s benefit policies, procedures and programs related to Faculty & Staff Health & Wellness.Job Description:Supports the administration of Barnard’s health & wellness plans for all Faculty & Staff in collaboration with the Benefits Director.Handles benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.

Enlist assistance of broker and/or provider account managers as needed.Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments in the HRIS and vendor systems to ensure accurate eligibility informationSubject matter expert on leave of absence and paid time off administration.

Tracks employee leaves and continuously communicates with relevant internal and external partners, as needed.Performs regular audits of benefits to ensure programs are administered according to plan guidelines.Assists with the annual open enrollment process, including planning meetings, system modifications, testing and employee education.Processes and tracks benefit expenses and reimbursements requests (e.g tuition, wellness, fitness, etc.)Manages the Benefit Billing process with all 3rd party vendors and Finance.Keeps up to date on compliance and legislative changes related to benefits.Conducts benefits related HRIS testing and reporting.

Resolves user issues with navigating systems and reviews benefit integrations.Updates and creates benefit communications for organization wide distribution to educate employees about their benefitsAssists in planning and running the annual College benefits fair.Other special projects and duties as assigned.Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to think critically and identify/evaluate solutionsAbility to take initiative, prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines.Excellent organization and communication skills (oral and written)Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentQualifications:Bachelor’s DegreeThree full years of related experience in HR/BenefitsProficiency in Excel and HRIS databasesFirm understanding of human resource policies and proceduresPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of Workday HCMExperience working in union environmentCompany:Barnard CollegeTime Type:Full time
