Non-profit company specialized in community development investment projects is currently looking for an experienced Real Estate/Financing Attorney to come on board as their Associate General Counsel. This will begin as a temporary position, with the possible of becoming a permanent role.
The company’s Legal team is located in Washington, DC, however they are open to a person sitting in Los Angeles. Please note that ideally this person will be working closer to Eastern Time Zone hours, with some flexibility.
Main job duties will include assisting borrowers and devleopers on complicated transactions that deliver social impact. There will be heavy negotations on behalf of their clients as well as drafting. Candidate must have 4-6 years of experience working with a law firm in real estate development projects.
California-bar admission is highly preferred, but company is also open to admission in other specific jurisdictions
This will be a full-time position, likely 40 hours each week, with the possibility of 50 hours depending on work load. Company will consider candidate for possible perm placement, with a set salary and bonus eligibility at that point.
