Whether by being leaders of the craft of project management or partners who will clear the path ahead, the production team is here in service to the studio, to move development forward and achieve quality.The Associate Producer role supports and manages the day-to-day production of the internal development team.  Responsibilities include collaborating with producers, senior producers, technical leads, directors, and studio managers to develop and maintain project plans for our technology teams.ResponsibilitiesSupport and/or Manage internal game development:Responsible for daily tracking of work for one or more technical teams, including facilitating stand-ups and following up to ensure engineers remain unblockedHold clear lines of communication between technical teams and production so target completion dates for work are well-knownWork with Senior Production and team leads to facilitate and push on resolving action items from technical deep dives in a timely mannerCoordinate between production, QA, and developer support to ensure that attention is given quickly to individual build and tooling issuesElevate attention around pending code and data reviews so they are resolved quicklyAssist in troubleshooting or escalating Perforce check-in issues for members on the teamSupport development efforts to keep product on schedule and within budgetCommunicate between team members, consultants, inter-company, and external developersSupport and/or Manage day-to-day production issues through analytic thinking and information gathering:Break down large or complex tasks into meaningful subtasksAssimilate diverse information and assess the impact of technical initiatives on the projectIdentify all groups that may be affected by an aspect of the project, and involve them – actively solicit their input and follow up through executionHold regular meetings with the project teams and individuals to discuss status, resolve issues and share informationPartner with senior members of the team to ensure a common understanding and agreement on the project scope, objectives, and on any subsequent changesContribute to current and future development needs:Foster and enhance working relationships with internal technology teamWork with team managers to understand and support team members’ growth objectives. Escalate any personnel issues to senior producers and team managersFollow necessary processes and procedures for product development to ensure SIE company-wide policies are adhered toSkillsProject ManagementWorking knowledge of project schedules and milestone documentation, monitoring the progress of department milestones and individual tasks against those schedulesExcellent organizational & prioritization skills, attention to detail, process knowledge and ability to multi-taskExperience with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office (Project and Excel)Familiarity with Agile techniques such as SCRUM, and traditional production managementCommunication & CollaborationExcellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across Product Development and Management teamsInterpersonal and facilitation skillsAble to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentEducation & ExperienceMinimum two years of industry experience in game production with one or more published titles as Associate Producer or abovePrior experience working with large development teams desirableAAA experience and familiarity with Perforce a plus4-year undergraduate college degree or equivalent skill set#LI-SMS#LI-AM1Equal Opportunity Statement:Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
