CreatorIQ is looking for a dynamic Associate General Counsel and Head of Business Affairs.

This person will be the Company’s legal representative and support the Company on all legal and business affairs.

The AGC will provide practical legal advice to senior management, board members and other executives regarding business issues and Company strategies, selecting and overseeing the work of outside counsel, negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements, providing litigation support, advising and supporting the human resources department, and ensuring the Company operates in strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

What you’ll do:
Provide ongoing legal and business affairs support in connection with the Company’s day-to-day operations, including commercial agreement negotiation and drafting, general corporate advice, corporate development, business development, and human resources issues Work closely and cross-functionally with all teams (Sales, Business Development, Product, HR, Marketing, Finance and Partnerships) to provide legal and business advice on a wide range of commercial and legal matters Manage ongoing corporate governance and legal compliance requirements Formulate legal policy and processes across the organization Communicating and coordinating with outside counsel on matters such as international expansion, intellectual property, fundraising, debt instruments, M&A, and data privacy Support due diligence related to fundraising, M&A, and strategic partnerships Organize and manage the legal data room, and lead due diligence activities.

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:
A practical and business focused person who can negotiate with clients and develop commercially reasonable solutions that advance the Company’s goals while protecting our business interests An astute legal professional who strives for perfection, but knows where to compromise and how to build long-term successful partnerships with both external and internal clients A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a high volume, fast-paced environment 5 to 10 years of broad-based legal experience, including experience at a nationally recognized law firm focusing on corporate and commercial transactions  Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills Outstanding analytical and strategic thinking capabilities Juris Doctorate degree from a top tier law school Admission to the California State Bar (or be a California Registered In-House Counsel) Legally eligible to work in the United States Ability to work outside of your comfort zone and embrace the challenges and opportunities of a high-growth startup environment High EQ, comfort with ambiguity, and a “no job too small” mindset Not take yourself too seriously and have the ability to do your job professionally while still having fun Are you legally authorized to work in the United States?
