Associate Attorney (Class Action)

We are seeking an experienced litigation associate for the firm’s class action practice group to join our downtown Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of wage and hour experience in both class action and PAGA and will have experience managing and analyzing records to assess compliance issues on a representative basis. Must also have excellent writing and oral advocacy skills and significant experience in discovery and law and motion practice. Must also be a self-starter who possesses strong organizational skills, is able to work with multiple clients, and is ready to hit the ground running. Responsibilities

  • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
  • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
  • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
  • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
  • Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently

Qualifications

  • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
  • Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association – active member preferred Association
  • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
  • Experience managing information (i.e. time records) in Excel
  • Computer skills working with iManage and Coyote Analytics preferred

The pay range for this position is $135K – $175K, depending on experience.
