We are currently seeking an Associate Actuary for our Los Angeles, CA
Responsibilities:
Compiles, consolidates and analyzes actuarial information for the production of statements, schedules, filings and reports of a more complex nature.

May act as a project lead on actuarial studies and pricing strategies.

Directs the development of policy values.

Develops and maintains profit studies, reserve studies, PC-based programs, and rate files and procedures.

Prepares actuarial portion of financial reports in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).

Provides actuarial analyses, responses and communications to product areas.

Maintains awareness / currency of emerging issues affecting product lines.

Provides technical advice to lower level positions and other functional areas.

May lead the work of others (mentors, prioritizes, delegates and reviews assignments).

Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Field of Study: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a related discipline
Experience: 4 or more years of related experience.

Has attained an Associateship and typically is completing additional coursework toward Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) or the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
