Now is the time to join our collaborative community to make long-lasting change across Los Angeles.ROLE SUMMARYAlliance College-Ready Public Schools is seeking an Associate, Accounts Payable, to independently perform all tasks in the accounts payable cycle in Coupa, our Procure-to-Pay platform. The centralized accounts payable team is responsible for all 28 Alliance schools as well as the Home Office departments. This position reports directly to the Manager, Accounts Payable and provides high quality, personalized support to a cluster of Alliance schools through individual customer service relationships.WHAT YOU WILL DOIndividual Day-to-Day Accounts Payable Duties• Process invoices in Coupa, Alliance’s Procure-to-Pay platform, go through a detailed and timely review for open POs, amounts, correct chart of accounts coding, vendor remit-to addresses, and appropriate budget owner approvals;• Utilize employee Procure-to-Pay platform (Coupa) for all employee expense reimbursements processed to go through a detailed review for adherence to Alliance’s Fiscal Policies and Procedures, proper backup documentation, amount, appropriate budget owner approvals;• Liaise with office managers at eight schools providing the highest level of customer service;• Research and respond to internal and external inquiries with high-quality and timely customer service utilizing a centralized email ticketing system (FreshDesk);• Generate ideas and input for process improvements;• Follow through on all prioritized tasks in the accounts payable function, and meet process milestones and expectations set by home office management;• Perform other duties as assigned.THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE/BE:• Commitment to Alliance’s core beliefs and educational philosophy;• Thorough understanding of the accounts payable cycle, practices, and applicable processes;• Able to interpret information on invoices and process detailed data into a live platform with a high degree of accuracy;• Ability to self-prioritize workload to stay on track with numerous priorities;• Confidence to make independent decisions based on policies and/or procedures;• Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct;• Willingness to view this role as part of a integral Accounts Payable Team and assist other team members when needed;• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide the highest level of customer service to our stakeholders;• Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proven ability to consistently process detailed data in an accurate manner;• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;• Knowledge of system such as Freshdesk and Coupa highly preferred.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• At least 1 year of professional work experience required• HS Diploma or equivalent (e.g. G.E.D.)COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSIn alignment with our commitment to equity for our scholars, Alliance is committed to equity and transparency for our team so we offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience and education, as well as an employer-sponsored 403b plan with an employer annual contribution equal to 5% of regular earnings, and a comprehensive group health benefits package, including medical, dental and vision coverage. This position is non-exempt. The compensation range for this position is $22.59/hour – $33.65/hour.
