We’re looking for an experienced and highly technical Assistant Editor to join the Studios team, reporting directly into the Sr Video Editor.

In this role, you will help create a wide-array of original video programs.

You will collaborate with our post production team and media team to deliver distinctive, engaging, premium content.

We are hiring for this position in Los Angeles.

Responsibilities
Use Adobe Premiere to create proxy files, sync footage and organize project file in preparation for offline edits
Use ProTools and/or Logic to organize project files, print stems and other final
Create cue sheets using project files from ProTools or Premiere.
Execute and deliver against project plans, on time and on brand
Create interview stringouts for transcription
Assisting editors and Sr Editor, with occasional support with the Media team
Flagging any logos and off-brand acts captured on screen
Tracking third party assets used in the cut
Prep and Conforming color correction and sound mix assets for final delivery
Assisting in creation of social media deliverables
Providing AE wrap reports upon completion of work and hand-off to the editor
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-directed problem solver who has hands-on experience in filmmaking and a passion for collaborating within a team of creatives.
3+ years in an editorial / post-production capacity (studio, agency or freelance)
Expertise in Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Cloud, ProTools, Logic and industry-standard post production workflows.
Accountable work ethic in quick turnaround environment
Superior organizational skills
Confidence in basic color correction and sound mixing
Can-do approach and ability to perform under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Adapts quickly to change
Brings clear, distinctive creative vision to each project
Has a passion for music and a knowledge of music culture
Ability to troubleshoot projects when needed
ProTools knowledge is a plus!
