The Department of Educational Leadership and Foundations is accepting applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in Educational Leadership to begin August 2023.
Faculty will be expected to teach master’s and doctoral courses in K-12 and/or higher education leadership to cohort groups, on
– and off-campus and in the evenings, using face-to-face and distance learning formats; advise and mentor doctoral candidates; establish and maintain an active agenda of research and scholarship, including presentations, publications, and grants; establish and maintain liaisons with administrators, educators, school systems, and educational organizations for collaborative programs and research activities; assist in planning and supporting student recruitment and alumni relations efforts; and participate in service to the university, college, department, and community and to state, regional, and national educational leadership organizations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Earned doctorate in educational leadership or related discipline from an accredited university by hire date.
Three years of administrative experience in K-12 education or demonstrated expertise in the area of educational leadership through scholarship and teaching in higher education; a record of excellence in or strong potential for mentoring doctoral students, serving on doctoral committees, and chairing doctoral dissertation committees; a record of or strong potential for publication and scholarship, including an identified research agenda; and experience with ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse populations.
Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor requires evidence of a high degree of competency in teaching, research, and publication and a minimum of seven years of appropriate total experience.
The applicant’s experience must include a minimum of five years of full-time collegiate experience in the teaching field or related area as Assistant or Associate professor.
