This position can be physically demanding and they may be required to use chemical cleaning products that could contain allergens.Essential Job FunctionsClean and service guest rooms in accordance with hotel proceduresLeave the guest rooms in a uniform arrangement as determined by the Housekeeping ManagerCommunicate efficiently with internal and external customers in order to help guests with problems, collect accurate information, and occasionally diffuse angerRestock all necessary linens and amenities according to the guest room legendReport status of rooms cleanedReport to supervisor about any damage, hazards, and repairs of items in the room or about the room itselfKeep corridors and service areas clean and neatBring linens and garbage to proper areasUpdate daily room master worksheet before breaks, lunch, and end of shiftPerform deep cleaning of rooms twice yearlyRespond to guest requests in a timely mannerAssume responsibility of all assigned rooms each dayOther duties as assignedQualificationsQualificationsMust be at least 16 years of ageHigh School Diploma or high school equivalent preferredPrevious cleaning experience preferredKnowledge of OSHA safety standards in regards to working with chemicals preferredAbility to communicate in Spanish and English preferredAdditional InformationSupervision Given and ReceivedGiven: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Received: Works under direct supervision of the Housekeeping Director.

Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.

Instruction, advice and assistance are readily available.Work Environment and physical demandsAbility to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of timeRegularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfacesMust be able to constantly lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
