ART Training Co-Facilitator – LAX Location

Responsibilities

In this position, you will serve as a co-trainer primarily focusing on training for the UCLA Health Ambulatory Practices.

You will serve as a resource for new and existing staff for seeking out information related to front and back office duties.

Assist with Instructor led simulations and assist trainers in orienting new employees to UCLA Health System operating systems, software, processes, and job expectations.

You will monitor new hires progress throughout training by direct observation and routinely reviewing new hires progress throughout the simulations.

Give and receive information, clarify policies, and mediate if necessary with patients, physicians, and technologists.

You will also assist with preparation of training materials and presentations.

Assist the Facilitator in identifying and potential issues.

Conduct in-service and customized training sessions to address quality issues or changes in operating procedures.

Assist in clinic onboarding process and expansion of Ambulatory Re-design initiatives through the implementation of customized training programs for assigned staff.

Qualifications

Required:
Prior experience working in an Ambulatory setting
Must have working knowledge of EPIC software
Working knowledge of clinical front desk operations that includes customer service and interpersonal relationships with physicians, patients, patient registration, appointment scheduling, managed care process, and contracting process
Experience with various computer software and hardware including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the internet, typing skills to prepare forms and correspondence with speed accuracy
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
Skill in adapting to various learning styles and training methodologies
Ability to carry out oral instructions accurately and convey information to new learners
Ability to be flexible with working hours given adequate notice and in alignment with job demands
Must be willing and able to travel to multiple Ambulatory sites as needed
Highly Desired:
Knowledge of UCLA systems is strongly preferred
