Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockrooms Receives, unloads, and shelves supplies Performs other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies Inspects deliveries for damage or discrepancies; reports those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping Rotates stock and coordinates the disposal of surpluses Ensures adequate record keeping and manages all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintains inventory control Coordinates the handling of freight and the movement of equipment REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management, preferably Restaurant365 Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom/restaurant backhouse environment Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations Excellent written and verbal communication skills Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time Skills to operate common office equipment 2 years of experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or recordkeeping Physical ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds Physical ability to stay in refrigerator/freezer for minutes at a time
