has been engaged to identify a Patient Service Representative Location: Los Angeles, CA 90048 Position: Patient Service Representative Pay Rate: $21/hr Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 8 hours/day (Must be available from 8:00 AM 4:00 PM) Since 1980 APR Consulting, Inc.

Position Summary: Candidates must have minimum 1 year of surgery scheduling experience.
If no surgery scheduling experience, must AT LEAST have worked in a surgeon’s office for around 1 year Books approximately 15 20 surgeries and IR procedures per week Candidate will be scheduling for a high-volume/demanding surgeon and will need to cover other surgery schedulers for vacations, etc.
Handling high volume of patient coordination and complex scheduling the licensed clinics at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Answering incoming telephone calls; scheduling and authorization for appointments, coordination of surgeries, procedures and diagnostic tests and other ancillary services; patient rescheduling ofappointments; training for new PSRs, insurance verification functions; chart/medical records preparation; and sorting and deposition of mail and patient information.
Applies a detailed knowledge of the areas of assigned responsibility, and a general knowledge of the ambulatory/outpatient physician setting and its interrelation with the large health System organization.
Ensures the timely completion of work assignments in accord with established timelines.
Min 2 years’ experience.
Prefer knowledge of EPIC/CS Link and surgery scheduling process.
At a minimum, a 7-year background check, education verification, employment verification, and drug screen will be conducted upon hire.
