Anesthesia Tech II – Surgery

The Anesthesia Technician II has proficient to advance knowledge/competencies and provides technical support for anesthesia services related to supportive anesthesia care within Perioperative Services, and ancillary departments as needed, to facilitate the smooth flow of surgical or special procedures.

May assist the Lead Anesthesia Tech

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Graduate of an American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) approved program required.

Minimum Experience/Knowledge: One year as an Anesthesia technician in an acute care setting required Required License/Certification: American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) national certification required.

Current BLS for Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association.

Fire and Safety Certification.

If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.
