To achieve that, we are building a powerful & flexible platform empowering internal feature teams to release, track & monetize new products while ensuring that customers understand their usage and control their billing.
To that end, we are looking for a Senior Backend/Data Engineer to join the team and help us scale our Usage Platform.
You will work on features & services that are critical for Algolia, from data pipelines ingesting very large amounts of logs from all our products to APIs that are relied upon to alert & charge customers based on their usage.
You will also play a role in training/mentoring and leading team members.
Your role will consist of: Being a key contributor to the design, development, operation & deployment of all features of the Usage Platform log processing pipelines & APIs Being responsible for the quality and the robustness of the APIs & services Improving engineering quality, processes and tooling Working closely with the team’s Product Manager and our internal stakeholders (other development teams) to help define the roadmap and ensure adoption of our APIs You might be a fit if you have: Designed and operated data pipelines with high volume & throughput Experience designing data intensive applications leveraging relational (e.g.
PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (e.g.
Bigtable) databases Rigour in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices Experience at our current stage and beyond ($50-200M ARR range, 500 employees, high growth).
Experience writing robust Go code Experience with GCP (especially Bigtable/BigQuery) Experience with Kubernetes We’re looking for someone who can live our values: GRIT
