The Senior Market Connectivity/ Site Reliability Engineer will be collaborating with various engineering teams to design and implement integrated solutions that will take the business to the next level.
This presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work on Low latency platforms with plenty of greenfield projects in a successful global property trading firm to achieve superior velocity, value, and scalability.The successful candidate will be hands-on and curious with a focus on technology, scalability, and portability.What you will do: Partner with our DevOps & Trading System Operations teams to implement Ready For Business operational solutions for market connectivity, leveraging modern tools (Grafana, SignalFx, InfluxDB, Sigma, Splunk, etc.)Build infrastructure as code; implement and test the automation.
Apply first principles of software engineering to infrastructure and operational problemsIntegrate with alert systems to proactively monitor latency, efficiency, change management and data quality degradation as it applies to our market access and market data software installationsCollaborate with risk and compliance officers to build out best-in-class controls frameworks to automate areas of governance, certification, and resiliencyCollaborate with developers to architect and implement strategies including (but not limited to) configuration management, disaster recovery, capacity planning, incident managementUse new technologies and architectures with continuous improvement in mindContribute to the growth of our platform through team code reviews and system reviews, standardizing methodologies, and CI/CD toolingExperience Required:5 years of Python development experience/shell scripting experienceExperience with market connectivity systems including networking & Linux system administrationExperience designing infrastructure solutions, including a demonstrated preference for simple, cohesive, and practical solutionsFamiliarity with SQL, Snowflake, and exposure to different data storage technologies, streaming technologies (Kafka, Solace, etc.)Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.) is not required, however, is preferredExperience with C++ is not required, however, is preferredPlease apply directly or send your resume to: sfalahalgocapitalgroup.com
