As we continue to grow, we are looking for only the best in the industry.Are you an experienced team leader that others rely on?Then a career at ATS as a Ramp Crew Chief is the job for you!Roles and responsibilities:Be actively involved with all ramp team duties (plane talks, baggage/cargo handling, aircraft servicing, safely operating GSE around aircraft, etc.)Delegate the work of ramp team members on your shift to ensure flights depart on timeBe responsible for conducting on-the-job training and coaching for new team membersComplete safety-critical paperwork for each flight, including baggage counts, load counts, and passenger counts as needed and/or assignedObserve and enforce all ATS and airline safety regulations and company policiesAssure that all GSE maintenance procedures are completed on each shiftQualifications:Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and station leadershipDemonstrate familiarity with GSE maintenance proceduresBe at least 18 years of age and possess a High school diploma, GED or work experience equivalentPossess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving recordBe able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes a 10-year extensive employment, criminal record and residence background checkPhysical Requirements:Lift 70 pounds (32 kg) or more on a regular basisCarry heavy items up and down stairsClimb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
