About the roleKey Responsibilities:Driving Profitable Growth:In partnership with your direct manager, drive new business growth in your assigned geography year over year on both a financial and policy basisIdentify top brokers in your region and in partnership with the Managing Director, create a business plan for each focused around opportunity creation, product appetite, value added services (i.E., Claims) and an emphasis on new business in locally identified lines of businessEstablishing Operational Excellence:Partner with direct manager and product leadership to identify targets and develop sales strategyDocument targets, strategy, activity in Salesforce (call reports, updating confidence factor)Participate in monthly (minimum) production meeting with all product lines and other key stakeholders in order to identify targetsRegional Production – in partnership with direct manager, hold pipeline discussions on account prospects by collaborating with product leaders on identifying targeted lines, by account, and develop executable strategies; drive growth with focuson most profitable lines (i.E., Growth Products).Segment Influence – for new business and renewal retention, drive the positioning and negotiations internally and externally in order to ‘close the deal’ and deliver a profitable transaction to the companyAccount Penetration – execute upon cross-selling strategy between lines of business to greater insure target submission flow for prospectsSupport your direct manager, the Managing Director, and Zone President as needed with various region / zone projects, executive visits, external sponsorship’s, broker initiatives, etc.Strategic Market Visibility – in partnership with direct manager, make consistent and frequent contact with our brokers and clients – general marketing calls, specific account/target meetings, industry events (RIMS) and social events in order to align with the key decision makers in the major accounts space; capture intelligence inSalesforce to support Regional Market Visibility ReportAdhere to Client Engagement best practice guidelines when handling accounts What we’re looking for:Ten + years of diverse insurance experience preferred.

Ability to learn full suite of AIG product offerings.A proven business development background in insurance with existing broker relationships in the region preferred.

Underwriting or brokerage experience is a plus.Account Management skills and experience in successfully building trusting relationships with colleagues, insureds and brokers.Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to effectively present to both small and large groups.Must be able to multitask, excellent organizational skills, along with problem solving required.Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field preferred.A look at our benefitsAt AIG, we have a 100-year legacy of working to make the world a better place.
