Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking Structural and Payload Design Engineer (Lead or Senior) in El Segundo, CA. This position will focus on Antenna Structures.
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead or Senior Engineer.
Position Responsibilities:

Leads and provides technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design

Leads activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements

Leads the development, maintenance or modification of system components’ designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation

Performs and documents analyses

Manages supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals

Prioritizes, delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design

Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts

Trains and coaches others
-
Works under minimal direction
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

5 or more years of experience in Space Hardware environments
-
Experience in the design and development of antenna and payload systems
-
3 or more years of experience with composites materials and processes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
-
10 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-
3 or more years of experience with Antenna Structures
-
5 or more years of experience with Composite
-
3 or more years of experience with RF Components
Typical Education & Experience:
Lead (Level 4)
Bachelor’s degree and typically 9 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 7 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior (Level 5)
Bachelor’s degree typically 14 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a Master’s degree with typically 12 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years’ experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range for Lead level: $120,700 – $163,300
Summary pay range for Senior level: $143,650 – $194,350
