Activities Coordinator

The Activities Coordinator will develop and ensure facility activities and equipment are being properly managed and maintained, will ensure activities are readily available for guests and will be hands-on with the guests as they utilize the various property activities.

The Activities Coordinator will collaborate with other department managers to develop programs and workshops featuring our gardens, grounds, culinary team, and local artisans.

Travelers more and more are seeking out experiential travel, and with Goodstones unique property and the Activities, Department will be able to provide our guests with experiences like no other.

This position will relieve pressure on other departments, allowing them to focus more on their own projects.

By handling the daily care and maintenance of equipment and facilities, the Activities team can relieve the Maintenance team of a great deal of daily burden.

By monitoring the pool area and other activity facilities, Guest Services is not pulled away from their duties in assisting guests.

The Activities team will quickly become a very valuable part of the Goodstone picture, both for staff and guests.

Develop activities and programming that encourage guests to EXPERIENCE Goodstone.

Activities: Lawn games Pool Spa Trails Bikes Canoes Farm and Garden tours Programs Garden Walk and Talks with master gardener Workshop and classes with local artisans, including, but not limited to; bouquet and flower arrangements with our cut flowers, beekeeping, beeswax crafting, cooking demos, painting, etc Yoga and other fitness classes and retreats Valet & Transportation Services Develop and manage Valet Program for Restaurant and Check-In Services, to include front desk check-in assistance, provide inn guest transportations service on the property (restaurant, spa, etc) Consider additional transport service off-site Oversee facilities and equipment, coordinating with maintenance as needed for upkeep Lawn games and equipment Pool area Spa Trails Bikes Canoes Build relationships with local artisans (and pull from our own talented staff) to develop a rotating schedule of workshops and classes.

Work with culinary and gardening team to develop programming pulling from each team (example: guests gather ingredients from the garden, and Chef prepares it for or with them).

Manage Staffing requirements for Activities To begin, one full-time staff member to work with the director, and one part-time member for weekends and holidays.

Seek out people for staff who are excited and energetic, with recreational backgrounds, preferably.
