GoodLife Housing Partners (“GLHP”), a commercial real estate investment, management and development firm based in Los Angeles, California with a primary focus on value-add multifamily and student housing properties and land for multifamily or student housing development, is seeking a full-time mid to senior level Analyst or Associate. The position is located in Los Angeles, California.
The position will play a key role as part of the acquisition and asset management process in managing, overseeing and executing value enhancement strategies for both existing and new real estate investments in Dallas-Fort Worth and other major metropolitan areas in the Western United States.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated to add value at a growing, well-capitalized platform and gain a wide range of experience in the multifamily and student housing space.
Job requirements:
• Must be a college graduate with a strong record of academic achievement
• Minimum three (3) years real estate analyst work experience, preferably in acquisitions or asset management
• Demonstrated financial/analytical/quantitative skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong client facing ability
• Strong project management skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail; able to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Access
• Energetic, creative and willing to work hard
• Must be able to work independently; take initiative to get things done with little supervision
• Attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Analyzing financial feasibility of potential acquisition and development projects.
• Preparing investment materials to present to principals, investors and lenders
• Participate in all phases of complex real estate acquisitions and developments, including underwriting, internal investment approval, due diligence, financing, closing, development, and asset management
• Interact with property managers and regional managers on a weekly basis
• Support various asset management roles related to existing investments
• Prepare in-depth market rent surveys, research and analysis
• Assist in tracking of operating and construction/renovation budgets
