Position:ACI Learning seeks an experienced Psychometrician to collaborate with our Product Development team in support of the testing and validation of Skills Assessments.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the psychometric measure for computer adaptive testing, including but not limited to item response theory, scaling, test equating, and differential item functioning.

This is not a stuffy academic job.

ACI seeks a psychometrician who understands both Classical Test Theory and Item Response Theory, and can thrive in an environment that serves tech professionals.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable driving innovations in testing and assessment.

This will include prioritizing speed-to-market, focusing on outcomes, and demanding quality.This position reports to the Vice President of Product Development and can be located anywhere in the United States.

Compensation: $42-62/ hr, depending on experience.This is a 12 month, project based, contract position.The Ideal candidate:Has significant experience in item and test analysis, job task analysis, standard setting, item bank design, and equatingHas proven success communicating effectively with technical professionalsIs comfortable communicating across all levels of an organizationHas experience with and is comfortable working with a wide range of technical contentInteracts with others using sound judgment, good humor, and consistent fairness in a fast-paced environmentPuts the learner firstHas an innovative and analytical approach to test development Is a highly responsible individual, who takes ownership, and can accomplish tough tasksExhibits meticulous attention to detail Operates with a strong work ethic, requiring minimal supervisionWorks well remotely Responsibilities:Lead job task analysis and standard setting activitiesDevelop and/or define how each assessment is scoredReview and validate test/assessment frameworkAnalyze test and item-level results using proven, recognized methodsCollaborate with the Learning Design team to ensure item pools meet the intended objectives Perform initial psychometric review Develop and implement a plan to ensure industry standards compliance for security, validity, reliability, and defensibilityLiaison with the Software Development/Innovation team to define technical specifications for software application(s)Requirements:Ability to work with dispersed teamsAdvanced degree in Psychometrics, Quantitative Psychology, Educational Measurement, or related fieldExperience in applied test development, including job task analysis and reporting of large-scale examinationsWorking knowledge of diverse psychometric models including but not limited to Classical Test Theory, Item Response Theory, and Equating modelsEffective decision-making and problem-solving skillsWe are committed to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strive to ensure that it is interwoven into the fabric of our organization.
