Accounts Receivable Associate

Multiquip’s comprehensive product portfolio includes light to medium construction equipment, power generators, and lighting.Join our team!We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our Accounts Receivable & Credit Department. This person will be responsible for assisting with cash applications; updating and maintenance of the customer master database in SAP; and other duties as assigned.Responsibilities* Creation of new customer accounts in SAP.* Update pricing and customer information as requested.* Follow company approval policy to ensure JSOX compliance prior to final changes.* Responsible for entering tax exemption certificates.* Responsible for tax overrides on sales orders.* Maintains pricing for all National Accounts and Export Accounts.* Processes and posts checks, credit cards, ACH and wire transfers, and all documents related to receivables both in USD and CAD.* Prepares and enters payments into our AR depository GL accounts for daily and monthly closing totals, and records those amounts on our department’s internal cash application monthly excel report detailing day-by-day transactions.* Maintains, reconciles, and researches disputed cash applications, customer chargebacks, application of product return credits, and returned checks and other payment discrepancies.* Back-up for month end AR close in SAP.* Performs other duties as assigned.*QualificationsEducation and/or Work Experience Requirements:High School Diploma; At least 3 years of credit analysis experience requiredAssociate Degree in Accounting, Business or related discipline preferred. Certification or designations earned through the National Association of Credit Management a plus.Skills and Abilities:* Must have advanced expertise or knowledge of credit analysis and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously* Ability to use various computer programs; Requires strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel* SAP experience highly desirable* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal and external customers; Ability to read, analyze, and interpret and understand general business periodicals, professional credit management journals, and technical data relevant to the position. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and document procedures and processes. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from co-workers, interfacing departments, managers & supervisors, customers, and the sales team* Ability to understand and analyze customer financial statements, calculate standard financial ratios, and make credit decisions based on the analysis.* Strong interpersonal skills* Great team player* Strong attention to detail* The ability to proactively recognize and resolve issuesCOVID Vaccine Requirement:Multiquip currently requires new employees to provide proof of receiving at least one dose of a COVID vaccine to begin employment.
