ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE (AR) SPECIALIST
About the Company:
We are currently working with an established business management firm located in the San Fernando Valley. Their accounting team is seeking a motivated Accounts Receivables Specialist to join their team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Process cash payments in timely manner insuring accuracy and correct accounting treatment
- Correspond with customers and ensure prompt handling of internal and/or external inquiries including timely provision of status updates to relevant stakeholders
- Provide A/R administrative support (check mail, scanning and filing)
- Review A/R aging on continues basis and actively engage in collections efforts
- Responsible for recording accruals, allocations, intercompany entries and any miscellaneous entries needed for month-end close
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Responsible for verifying customers information and establishing credit limits
- Perform and/or prepare ad hoc analysis, tasks and reports
- Provide support as required by Accounting Management
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies and procedures to support the rapid growth and expansion of the Company
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Accounting experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Strong accounting and analytical skills and the ability to work under time constraints.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Experience at a company with multiple operating entities a plus
- Experience in reviewing customers’ credit standing is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Experience with SAGE is preferred or other large ERP systems
Salary Range for Accounts Receivable Specialist: $55,000 – $65,000 annually (based on experience)
