In this position, you will be required to manage all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. You will work closely and report to the Accounting Manager. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks will be the main focus points in this role. Based out of the Los Angeles, California area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time opening.

Major responsibilities

– Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

– Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling

– Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

– Help with internal and external audits as required

– Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

– Manage full-cycle A/P

– Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it

– Provide support to internal business partners

– Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

Job Requirements:
– Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

– Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

– Demonstrated knowledge of wire transfer

– Maintain Vendor Files experience highly desired

– Invoice Processing experience preferred

– Filing experience

– Adeptness in Aging Reports

– General familiarity with Oracle

– Foundational knowledge in Check Runs

– Coding Invoices experience

– Practical knowledge of Foreign Currency Translation

– Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

– Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

– AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
