Accounts Payable or Receivable Specialist

The AP Specialist will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will support the month-end close process as relates to accounts payable. The company currently supports a hybrid work environment.Job Duties:* Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment* Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies* Assist in month end closing* Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices* Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms* Process check requests* Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly* 1099 maintenanceQualifications:* 1-3+ years of Accounts Payable experience* High school diploma required, college degree is a plus* Proficient in MS Excel. Word, and 10-key by touch
