Job Description
The accounts payable coordinator compiles and maintains accounts payable records.
Essential Functions
- Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Able to process high-volume of invoices
- Reconciles vendor statements
- Ability to process and follow-up on rush items, and with vendors
- Maintains accounts payables files
- Special projects as assigned
Skills and Attributes
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Able to meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel
- Data entry skills and speed at typing
- Very detailed personality, with ability to work harmoniously in a team
- Knowledge of accounting software (will train)
- Accurately carrying out tasks within schedule
- Strong skills at solving problems and organizing assignments; ability to multitask and deliver projects before deadline is reached.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
Position type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma
- Experience in a high-volume office setting
