Account Specialist – Grocery/Merchandising

This position has a salary range of $18.00-$22.00 per hour with eligibility for a quarterly bonus. Starting wage is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to geographic location, experience and performance.

Summary:

The Account Specialist- Grocery Merchandiser will work with the Category Account Manager in Natural Food and Specialty Retailers, including Whole Foods Market, representing a portfolio of Organic/Natural Food brands. The person hired for this role will conduct 5 store visits per week. During these visits, the Account Specialist will be responsible for product merchandising including working through any backstock to ensure that shelves are stocked with our brands’ products, performing basic shelf maintenance, and ensuring that our brands products are merchandised to the highest retail standards.

The Schedule:

Approximately 22-26 hours/3 – 5 shifts per week.
Afternoon and weekend availability is required.
A schedule with consistent days/shifts is available.
The following routes are available:
Glendale
Fairfax/Downtown
Burbank/Sherman Oaks

The Role:

Grocery/Merchandising:

Responsible for stocking product for represented brands to ensure that all inventory is worked.
Responsible for basic shelf maintenance including stocking product, facing product, and ensuring tags, promo tags, and endcap signage are present and accurate.
Ensuring product for represented brands is merchandised to the highest retail standards.

Communication:

Responsible for delivering communication in an effective manner to our partners in-store, as well as their direct supervisors and Category Experts.
Responsible for effective communication with in-store decision makers in order to secure reorders and maintain shelf position.

Reporting:

Responsible for basic reporting on impact to brands via mobile app.
Provide updates to Category Account Manager.

Store/Team Member Support:

Be of service to support in-store Team Members whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Assist in delivery pack-outs, display building, and/or other tasks that may or may not include brands within the Dirty Hands portfolio.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Experience in Retail, Merchandising, and/or Natural Food Industry is a plus.
Must have a reliable form of transportation.
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of current auto insurance and be able to drive a car for extended periods of time.
Must be willing to drive for daily local travel – approximately 5,000 miles or more per year.
Capable of meeting the physical requirements of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation, including but not limited to: standing for up to 8 hours, bending, squatting, reaching, repetitive motion, pushing and pulling, twisting, and lifting 40-50lbs.
Willing and able to work in cold environmental conditions (i.e refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores).
Must have a functioning smartphone.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
