AAR: Sr. Sourcing Analyst

At AAR we are committed to doing it right, and we have built our core values based on that premise.SUMMARY:This position will support the objectives of the Strategic Sourcing department to provide cost-optimized solutions to AAR’s aircraft maintenance and supply chain programs.

The analyst will be responsible for running large scale RFPs to put parts on Long Term Agreements (LTA’s) and will require working closely with OEM and Aftermarket suppliers and internal stakeholders.

The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining current contracts, propose data-driven solutions to improve the current sourcing process and assist the Sourcing Manager with initiatives to increase supplier participation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOBSILITIES:Learn how to use Business Spend Management (BSM) software to design and run RFP’s.Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers to gain insights into the supply market and broaden supplier coverage.Establish and conduct periodic contract performance reviews with strategic suppliers to ensure contract metrics are consistently met.Maintain the Contract and Category database, Supplier information and handle pricing implementation requests.Create processes to capture and incorporate supply market intelligence into sourcing processes.Assist with RFP sourcing initiatives, data collection, analysis and forecast generation.Develop measurement and reporting processes for spend tracking.

Work with IT and Finance groups as needed.Collaborate with Sourcing Manager and other operating groups in driving spend reduction initiatives.Gain in-depth aviation industry knowledge and strictly comply with all government and commercial regulations to contract pricing.CORE COMPETENCIES:Business SavvyStrategic ManagementChange of DirectionDiverse MindsetBuilding relationships and partnershipsTransformationalAccountabilityBuilding confidence & integrityQUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Science or Engineering from four-year college/university or eight years related experience/training in Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Data Analysis or ProcurementCompetent with relational databases (SQL) and statistical/programming software’s (Python, R)Strong proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP’s, Index-Match, SUMIF/COUNTIF)Experience with BI software a plus (Tableau, Power BI, Domo)PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
