ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, seismic, and seepage;
- Geotechnical site characterization;
- Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
- Small project/task management and proposal preparation support;
- Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications; and
- Fieldwork associated with design and construction services.

Based on your current level of experience, you may be asked to take on task-level or project management responsibilities, along with business development, and staff mentoring tasks.

- Training: This position may require OSHA health and safety, first aid, CPR training, and medical monitoring paid for by the firm. - Fieldwork: Up to 25%
- Overnight travel: Up to 25%

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering. (required)
- Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
- Professional registration (i.e., P.E.) (preferred)
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, including geotechnical field studies, geotechnical design, and construction support services. (required)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
- Strong fundamentals in geotechnical engineering theory and practice. (required)
- Strong fundamentals in structural engineering theory (preferred)
- Experience with modeling/design tools such as AUTOCAD, Slide, LPILE, Slope/W, Seep/W, Sigma/W, FLAC, and ARCGIS. (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software; AutoCAD and/or GIS. (required)
- Experience with design collaboration software (e.g. Bluebeam Studio), and operation of VDC/BIM software. (preferred)
- Valid U.S. drivers license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
