Job Description: 3M HIS Security Engineer The Security Engineer will be joining the 3M HIS security operations and engineering team with focus on infrastructure and application vulnerability finding management.
They will be responsible for generating reports, tickets, and communicating with product and tech owners.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Communicate system vulnerabilities to product and tech owners Assist IT and software engineers with technical questions to resolve security vulnerabilities Review and report findings from penetration tests Assist in strategic approaches to dynamically communicating and tracking results Provide visibility through measurement and experimentally proving out results Actively participate in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, comply with professional and quality standards, follow corporate policies and procedures, and act in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED from (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of eleven (11) years of experience in IT Eight (8) years of experience working in IT AND/OR Software Development Experience in information security or similar role Experience with vulnerability management Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Tenable, Qualys, and WebInspect Experience with penetration testing and tools like Burp Suite Familiar with cloud security frameworks like the CIS CSC top 20 or AWS Security Best Practices Familiar with AWS, Azure, and enterprise network systems SANS, ISC2, and/or other security certifications Location: Silver Spring, MD, Pittsburgh, PA, Murray, UT, St.
Paul, MN, or Remote Travel: 10% domestic travel Relocation: None 3M Ethics.
