Following internal development, the Executive Editor will also be responsible for identifying and hiring writers to execute the IP and then working with publishers to bring 3BD IP to market.ResponsibilitiesWork with the Sr.
Vice President, 3BD Publishing to create a focused adult publishing book-IP content development strategy within 3BD’s core IP mission.Outline, edit, and develop adult book IP in concert with 3BD Publishing Team.Identify, hire, and contract with writers to execute 3BD IP.Manage and/or assist in the sale of book IP to publishing partners.Manage and/or assist in the publication process of greenlit IP with publishing partner.Identify and evaluate third-party IP or creators for possible partnership with 3BD.Build and maintain relationships with major publishing partners.Build and maintain relationships with literary agents.Communicate with film/tv/digital/gaming and all 3BD staff about ongoing book-IP projects.Help maintain book publishing databases.Maintain knowledge of publishing industry news and trends.
QualificationsMinimum of 5 years adult book publishing experience.Experience and relationships with writers, editors, agents, and publishers.Familiarity and fluency in Google Workspace.
