Our client, a large well – known University, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be part of the Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the motivation to complete all tasks at hand, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Pay Rate: $25/hr.
What’s the Job?
• Processing and reviewing invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Supporting match exception (H&I) resolution
• Responding to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues promptly and professionally.
• Preparing and processing payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH transactions.
• Reconciling vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assisting with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
What’s Needed?
• High School Diploma/ College Degree is preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable
• Strong knowledge of Sales Tax
• Strong Technical Aptitude (MS Applications, Accounting Software, ERP)
