Title: 100% Remote Backend Engineer
HQ: Santa Monica, CA (Role can be worked anywhere in the U.S. 100% Remote)
Compensation: 140k – 200k Base + Meaningful Equity Package (depending on experience)
Requirements: 5+ years of professional Backend development, Strong Node.js skills (or other modern languages like Java, Python or Go) and extensive knowledge of AWS and MySQL
Plus: ElasticSearch and other DevOps related tools, Startup experience is STRONGLY preferred

What You Will Be Doing
- Work on an early engineering team
- Node.js development
- Develop high-performance and scalable projects, performance tuning our existing stack, managing our cloud infrastructure, scale our existing environment and help with backend development (NodeJS).
- Ensure service scalability through effective code and data storage design
What You Need for this Position
- Modern backend language(s) like Node.js, Python, Java or Go
- AWS & MySQL
- Linux
- ElasticSearch and/or ELK Stack
- BS CS or Related
Preferred Candidates: Startup experience, DevOps skills, Node.js (or other modern backend)
