We are now hiring a Field Service Technician, Electrical for the Western region in the US. While this role involves travel, preferred home location is Minneapolis, MN.

Field Service Technician, Electrical is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical/electronic problems on Heidelberg Printing Presses, Color Measurement Systems, basic computer networks, and accessories/peripheral systems including hardware and software.
Maintain excellent customer satisfaction by troubleshooting, repairing, and if necessary, escalating ongoing technical issues in a timely manner.
Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Primary Duties are as follows:
- Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance, and train on Sheetfed equipment via charge service
- Troubleshoot, repair, conduct maintenance, and train on Sheetfed equipment under service contract/warranty
- Work with assigned qualified riggers to install new or used equipment that are sales generated. This also applies to the customer requests regarding equipment moves. This includes installation work orders and charge service
- Inspect equipment generated via SS36 (10, 20, 30 and annual inspections) completing the proper documentation and attaching photographs. This reporting is generated to police equipment for Heidelberg and our customer’s records therefore protecting Heidelberg and our customer’s investments. Reduce costs to contract when possible
- When visiting customers, show our customers the value added by choosing Heidelberg service to generateadditional business. APS/Car stock sales
- Use product knowledge to communicate clearly, verbally and written, both internally and externally
- Complete all paperwork in a timely manner (i.e., expenses, timesheets, escalation reports, SS36 related reports, online training courses, car maintenance
- Regular attendance and timeliness are expected. There may be times that overtime, or weekend work will be critical functions of the job
- Overtime, if applicable, must be approved in advance. Other duties are assigned as needed by the jobholder’s supervisor
- Exceed customer’s expectations by troubleshooting, repairing and if necessary, escalating ongoing mechanical issues in a timely manner
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
- 5 to 10 years of field service experience, or related work experience
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to travel within territory 50%
- Willing to follow strict safety guidelines
- Ability to pass background and drug screen
- Clean driving record, company car is included
Critical Skills:
- Moderate PC skills, i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft apps
Additional Skills:
- Valid US Work Authorization not requiring sponsorship now or in the future. Relocation within the continuous United States available
- Good personality for customer relations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Education:
- Technical degree is a plus, but not required
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required
