Vehicle Diagnostic Technician

Overview:The person selected will capture vehicle systems thermal data utilizing a chassis dynomometer.Duties:
• Tests vehicle instrumentation based on collaboration with engineer.
• Operates data acquisition equipment and test facilities to obtain in-lab/over the road data.
• Participates in root cause analysis and troubleshoots issues with data and/or test articles.
• Documents and reports test results and provides recommendations based on test outcomes.Required Skills / Experience:
• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience with Vehicle Data Acquisition Equipment.Desired skills:
• Experience in the use of data acquisition equipment (ETAS, SOMAT eDAQ, NI preferred).
• Knowledge of operation and/or maintenance of truck, bus or rail products.
• Practical application (installation and troubleshooting) of vehicle instrumentation, e.g., thermocouples, force, pressure, and flow
• Ability to fabricate/modify test specific parts.
• Knowledge of PC based software (Excel, Word, and Web Based Applications).Soft Skills:
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Team oriented.
• Good organization skills.Other info:Position is Second shift 3:00-11:00, Monday through FridayPosition will require safety gear such as ear protection, goggles and safety shoes
