TechnicianBasic duties and responsibilities including but not limited toInstalls, repairs, maintains, Troubleshoots and performs testing activities on various cable equipment, and other low voltage equipment.Uses different types of test equipment and tools to troubleshoot/repair equipment.May have to move on site equipment, tools, furniture, etc, above 50 lbs.May have to maneuver around small areas such as attics, crawl hatches, etc, for cabling.Trenching, pressure washing, general maintenancePhysical DemandsThe physical requirements described here are what an employee will typically experience on a day-to-day basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop/squat, kneel, crouch or crawl through small, enclosed spaces. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.Other Considerations for employment:Full-time position. Expected availability during standard business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as occasional job duties demand. ***OSHA requires 5 hours of job specific training (provided and paid for this time)***TravelAs projects open/close in various locations across the state, you will be expected to be able to travel to the new sites. Extended stays are frequent.Required Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent. EXPERIENCE A PLUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
