ResponsibilitiesPrepare for surgical procedures by collecting and checking supplies and instrument trays.
Scrub and set up sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures following departmental standards.
Maintains sterile field following standards for counts, medication, specimens, and safety precautions.
Assist in central processing area as required.
Responsible for other related duties as required.QualificationsMust have surgical technician certification from an accredited school or programAt least one year of experience in an acute care facility with experience in all surgical procedures.Working knowledge of the use, function and operation of all operating room equipment Working knowledge of aseptic techniqueAbility to move heavy objects, apply aseptic technique to use a variety of operating instruments and equipment.
