The Surgical Technician assists the Surgical Team in providing high quality health care to the patient that requires surgical intervention. He/she applies basic knowledge of aseptic technique, principles of sterilization and understanding of the purpose and use of instruments.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of two (2) to three (3) years scrubbing experience in General, GYN, Ortho and GI.
- High school graduate preferred.
- BLS certified required.
- Surgical Technician certification preferred.
- Familiar with the different surgical equipment and instrumentation and its functions.
- Requires close concentration and high degree of accuracy and organization to prepare, set up and assists on surgical procedures.
