Service and Repair Apprentice

Job Description:

Responsibilities Of Service and Repair Apprentice:

  • Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and update customer and company equipment.
  • Maintain clear service records.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner.
  • Manage your workload with multiple lifts in various stages of repair.
  • Overtime is required on a regular basis to complete repairs on time.

Required skills as a Service and Repair Apprentice:

  • Training is provided to learn forklift mechanics if you can:
  • disassemble and assemble a variety of machinery.
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability with own tool set.
  • Show a clean driving record.

Preferred skills as a Service and Repair Apprentice:

  • Hands-on Automotive / diesel technician experience (school or personal).
  • Have a working knowledge of automotive electrical systems.

Physical Requirements of the Service and Repair Apprentice:

  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, bend, and twist

Opportunities for growth as a Service and Repair Apprentice:

  • Promotion to Shop Technician working independently in the shop
  • Working onsite with clients as a Road Service Technician

  • The workload changes daily depending on customer, sales, and rental demands.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation:

  • Base hourly pay, plus a flat rate commission that ranges from $30k to $100k per year based on abilities, knowledge, efficiency, production, tools, and attendance.
