Job Summary The Senior Desktop Technician manages, troubleshoots and resolves technical and procedural issues for internal customers in an efficient and timely fashion.

Help Desk Technicians service our internal customers over the phone, in person and through remote connectivity software.

Primary Responsibilities Manage the hardware and software deployment, maintenance and upgrades of desktop PCs, Thin Clients, peripherals, and laptops Troubleshot technical issues related to user hardware and software Provide technical and procedural support to customers including file permissions, folder permissions, account permissions, security groups, password resets/unlocks, network connectivity, VPN, and remote desktop (RDP and VMware Horizon) Maintain accurate asset inventory system that includes scanning and tagging technology assets Facilitate technology orientation and ongoing technology training for internal customers Investigate and document incident root cause and resolution, and maintain accurate and detailed records in ticket management system Complete inter-office moves that include moving desktop PCs, peripherals, Thin Clients, and phones Demonstrate flexibility with projects and inquiries with the ability to manage multiple projects and to establish priorities with minimal supervision Build and maintain strong relationships with the Help Desk team and other ComPsych departments Participate in the weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support Job Qualifications BA/BS degree is required, a degree in Information Technology or other technical degree program a plus 7 years experience in a help desk or service desk role in a fast paced environment Exceptional communication skills, with strong focus on customer service Quick thinking, high energy, positive, and professional, with demonstrated analytical and problem solving, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills Stable work history required Must be able to work on-site in our Downtown Chicago office Benefits And Perks Full benefits package, including Paid Time Off (PTO), medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, robust EAP, wellness program, and much more Competitive pay Beautiful office space located in the NBC Tower downtown Chicago, with great amenities including indoor parking, onsite gym, restaurant, and cafe Free admission for employees and a guest to the Field Museum and Illinois Holocaust Museum Access to tickets in the company suite for Chicago premier sports teams, including the Bulls, Blackhawks, and Bears Breakfast on Fridays and snacks/juice daily; rotating onsite lunch options featuring some of Chicagos best restaurants and food vendors, provided by Fooda EOE/AA/M/F/Vet/Disability ComPsych Corporation maintains a drug-free workplace.
