Senior Commercial HVAC, VRF, and Chiller Technician

Full-time, permanent jobs that offer excellent salaries, overtime, and benefits packages (relocation assistance may also be made available for the right person(s). Required qualifications include five or more years of commercial HVAC service and repair experience and an EPA. In addition, manufacturer training and certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities for the Lead positions:

  • Diagnose, repair, start-up, commissioning, and maintain commercial mechanical equipment.
  • Travel to one or multiple commercial buildings each day, including retailers, hospitals, schools, airports, high rises, hotels, among others.
  • Complete continuing education and training on mechanical systems.
  • Train and mentor junior-level technicians and help them grow within the company.

Extensive mechanical equipment knowledge required:

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair large tonnage rooftop package units, split and mini-split systems. Work on condenser fans, blowers, capacitors, circuit boards, compressors, fan belts, refrigerant, filters, air handling units, and condenser coils.
  • Repair and diagnose Variable air volume (VAV) boxes, supply and return fans, dampers, cooling, and heating coils.
  • Repair and diagnose water source heat pumps, refrigerant, compressors, reversing valves, air coils, and blowers, cooling tower fans, exhaust systems, cooling coils, valves, among other commercial mechanical equipment.

Additional specialized experience needed for a few open Chiller and VRF service, start-up, and installation roles:

  • Repair large-scale ductless HVAC VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) system service, installation, and start-up working on outdoor units, condensers, liquid pipes, gas pipes, indoor units, evaporators, manifolds, and indoor units.
  • Chiller Mechanic services maintain and break down all aspects and multiple types of chillers, including air, water, absorption, screw, centrifugal chillers, fans, filters, expansion valves, condensers, and compressors, heat exchangers, evaporators, among other components.
