Job Description
The Quality Technician supports incoming, in-process and outgoing part inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the QA team with managing metrology assets
  • Responsibilities to include retrieval of equipment from Production/Test areas, liaising with Manufacturing and Quality Engineers, and with calibration suppliers, packaging/unpackaging equipment, updating databases, creating Incoming reports, and other duties as required)
  • Experience with inspecting most of the following preferred
    • inspections of incoming parts and material
    • soldering workmanship according to J-STD-001
    • Cable and Harnessing according to NASA 8739.4
    • Polymerics according to NASA 8739.1
  • Completes Inspection Reports
  • Performs In-process Quality Control inspections (workmanship and step verification, approval of sub-assemblies and assemblies in accordance with industry/internal manufacturing standards)
  • Works with Quality Engineers on material and process Non-Conformances
  • Works with Quality and Design Engineers to continually improve processes and methods

Required Experience, Skills and Education

  • US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
    – required
  • Strong PC skills (to include use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and PC navigation
    – required
  • Strong organizational skills/attention to detail
    – required
  • Have a basic knowledge of ISO/AS procedures
    – preferred
  • Experience with inspection equipment, including CMM
    – preferred
  • Experience working in clean room and ESD environment
    – preferred
  • Background in Aviation or Aerospace
    – preferred
  • Working knowledge of GD&T
    – preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems
    – preferred
