The role reports to the Quality Manager and is located in Mebane, North Carolina.

As a Quality Control Technician
– Inspector, you will be responsible to verifying quality of the work has been completed in functions such as incoming inspection, fabrication, assembly and/or wiring.

Your responsibilities Inspect and troubleshoot any defects or discrepancies in conformity.

Assist other Quality Control (QC) Technicians, Operators, Wirers and Assemblers when quality questions arise.

Perform inspections using measurement tooling (calipers, gauges, meters, etc.).

Train other employees.

Inspect, examine, and observe for product or equipment defects.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Your background 3 years of experience in assembly, wiring, and/or fabrication.

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Experience using computers Microsoft office apps like excel, word and web applications.

Desired experience in SAP, supplier net, salesforce, windchill, fletch (waiver/ncm workflows), BOX and SharePoint.

Ability to work with teams and coordinate activities like rework, collaborate with suppliers and facilitate return of materials (RMA’s).

1-year experience in quality.

Associate degree in a technical study preferred.

Ability and willingness to read and interpret technical drawings and models.

Skilled in using tools, such as a screwdriver, crimper, and air gun.

Good written and oral communication skills.

Ability and willingness to climb ladders, stand/walk for long periods of time.

Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

Work along of as a member of a team.

Work rapidly for long periods of time.

Initiative, teamwork, flexibility & attention to detail.
