Plumber’s HelperACR Professional Plumbing Inc.Perform quality, skilled plumbing work in a construction environment. This is a full-time position on a public work job, working in Los Angeles, California.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Assisting plumber at homes and residences.• Helps install, repair, and maintain pipes used for water distribution and wastewater disposal.• Assists in installing and maintaining plumbing systems.• Reads blueprints and drawings to determine exact specifications and where plumbing system will be installed.• Determines water supply networks and waste drainage systems.• Coordinates with Project Manager on installation.• Installs systems used to transport water, waste, gases, or liquids.• Ensures legislation and policies are met and that systems are up to code.• Ensures systems meet all standards of building codes and safety.• Cut openings in structures in preparation for pipes.• Selects all materials needed for installation, including type and size of pipe.• Installs supports and hangers for pipe, fixtures and equipment.• Assembles and installs valves and fittings.• Assembles pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.• Installs other plumbing equipment, such as sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, air conditioners, appliances, and trim.• Measures, cuts, threads, and bends pipe to required angle.• Observes pressure gauges to fix leaks.• Tests pipe systems and fix leaks.• Repairs and maintains water treatment equipment.• Performs scheduled maintenance.• Ensures all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and grade.Education/Experience:Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to completion of a recognized Plumbing Trade Certificate.And a minimum of 2 Years Apprentice plumbing experience.Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 – $19.00 per hourExperience:• plumbing: 2 years (Required)• Commercial Construction: 1 year (Required)Education:• High school or equivalent (Required)Location:• Los Angeles, CA 90043 (Required)
