Journeyman Plumber

Perform quality, skilled plumbing work in a construction environment. This is a full-time position on a public work job, working in Los Angeles, California.
DESCRIPTION
The Journeyman/Project Manager provides a full range of plumbing installation, repair, and upgrade services in commercial settings. Must be able to lead, assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes in an efficient and professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Must be able to read Blue Print
· Must have hand tools
· Assembles pipe sections, tubing, and fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
· Fills pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observes pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks
· Coordinates with other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently
· Responds to emergency situations during or after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns
· Follows all safety policies and procedures
· Completes any reports or logs
· Performs other duties as assigned
· Guides and instructs others
QUALIFICATIONS
· 3-5 years of progressive and relevant experience
· Safety and customer service oriented
· Able to lead others
· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
· Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
· Available for emergency on-call 24/7
· Able to manage workload and prioritize multiple projects
· Strong problem solving and analytical skills
· Highly professional and dependable
Required Education:
- High school or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
Experience:
- Commercial Construction: 4 years (Required)
- Do you possess a Journeyman’s Card?: 1 year (Required)
