Join our global Gestamp family THE EXPECTATIONS: Gestamp’s Union, South Carolina plant is looking for a Multicraft Maintenance Technician that craves working in a fast-paced lean manufacturing environment.

The Multicraft Maintenance Technician emphasis is on conducting machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service.

Responsibilities include: Develops Initial Standard Work Practices with the teams Follow Standardized Work Instructions Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production, and performs scheduled maintenance and repairs of production equipment during machine service Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service Supports the teams in operational improvement Robots, changing of weld shunts, tips, weld guns, and cylinder repair rebuilding Changing of transformers, firing panels Manlifts, ladders, roof work and outside work Must follow all OSHA and plant safety rules including, lock-out tag-out, etc.

THE MUST HAVES: Associate’s Degree with advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC is preferred 10 years’ Maintenance experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, electronics and/or mechanical fields in lieu of Associate’s Degree Successful completion of a formalized Apprenticeship Program or possess a related-field Journeyman’s card in lieu of Associate’s Degree Moderate experience in a combination of mechanical, electrical and hydraulics fields Basic electrical knowledge (both AC and DC) Basic plumbing knowledge Strong mechanical ability Basic fabrication skills (AC, MIG, TIG, and spotwelding) Hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, electronics, and mechanical preferred WHY SHOULD YOU APPLY?
