Under general supervision, the Medication Attendant is responsible for assisting Assisted Living and Memory Care residents as directed by a care plan or agreement. This position has the responsibility of providing residents assistance with activities of daily living including assistance with medications according to physician orders. Sets up, monitors and disperses medicines to residents. The medication attendant role is the primary responsibility for this position. Schedule: Full-Time PM Shift: 3pm to 11pm Rotating 4 shifts on 2 shifts off schedule Compensation: Hourly $19 /hour and up depending on experience Differential for NOC shifts, PM shifts and all weekend shifts Work Duties Sets up medication for residents and provides medication, under the direction and monitoring of a licensed nurse, and according to physician orders. May order/re-order medications. Records and documents all medication, treatment and care provided to residents. Assists residents with activities of daily living. Takes and records vital signs of residents. Responds to resident calls and requests. May launder resident’s personal clothing and linens. Calls for emergency assistance as deemed necessary. Prepares meals and snacks. Cleans various areas of the Assisted Living facility including resident’s apartments. Gives medication to patients and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified procedures. Takes verbal orders from MDs and communicates with MD confirming medication changes; Assures medications are ordered on time to prevent residents from missing doses; Takes blood pressures and pulses when needed for determining drug dosing What’s in it for you?
