NTS in Los Angeles, CA (near LAX), is seeking someone with a strong mechanical aptitude to train and work as a Test Technician to set up and conduct environmental and vibration testing for a variety of products in multiple industries.
This position requires shift work.
You will work 8am-5pm one month and the next month work 10pm to 6am and rotate back and forth every month.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Set up and conduct environmental and vibration testing* Maintain test log sheets and record data during tests* Program environmental thermal chamber controllers* Set up data acquisition system* Perform other duties as required Required Education/Skills/Experience: * Must be eligible to work in the US and able to pass a drug test and DMV and background check* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent* Must have a strong hands-on mechanical aptitude (i.e., mechanical assembler, mechanic, HVAC/Refrigeration, repair tech, welder, etc.)* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Excellent computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required* Strong organizational and analytical skills* Excellent people skills and be a strong team player willing to adapt as necessary* Ability to tolerate stress and work in a fast paced environment* Ability to share skills and knowledge with others and to delegate responsibility* Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision* Strong Organizational and Analytical Skills* Positive “Can Do” Attitude while displaying the initiative and ability to problem solve* Strong attention to detail WORKING CONDITIONS: Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
